St. Petersburg Advertising Agency Develops Brand Identity Package for Liz Phelps Studios
Tampa Bay, FLA (September 24th, 2020) – Evolve & Co, a local advertising agency in downtown St. Petersburg, was recently appointed to brand a fresh face artist in the Tampa Bay area. Evolve & Co is a full-service advertising agency of brand strategists and creatives, specializing in the lifestyle vertical.
Liz Phelps Studios is a St. Pete art studio owned by Liz Phelps. Oil paints are the medium of choice for their vibrancy, fluidity, forgiveness, and light changing qualities. Liz draws much of her inspiration from nature, especially the ocean with ever-changing colors, textures, movements, and light reflection. In the branding process, Evolve & Co utilized the elements of Phelps’ waterscapes to guide the pantones and unique brush strokes implemented throughout the brand.

For Liz Phelps Studios, we knew we needed to capture a sense of endless creativity to match her paintings. The LP icon featured in every logo variation is Liz’s own painted signature. The gradient brush stroke circle surrounding her signature is reminiscent of the textured strokes that bring each painting to life. To create the color palette we selected colors frequently used in her artwork. We wanted the icon to be the hero of the logo so we kept the typography simple and clean.” – Amy Alexander, Creative Director.
