Advertising Agency Appoints New Creative Lead Amidst Pandemic Downturn

Downtown St. Petersburg based advertising agency, Evolve & Co, named Amy Alexander as Creative Director. The agency, founded in 2016 specializes in branding, media relations, social media management, graphic design, and website design & development. Evolve & Co sought to further drive the company’s mission to create meaningful campaigns that draw on experience and deep relationships with the addition of a new creative director.

Reporting directly to Evolve & Co’s President, Lisa Williams, the creative director is responsible for leading all creative aspects for client campaigns.

“Amy’s role as Creative Director is integral in our new, Covid-era growth strategy” says Lisa Williams, President. “There are a unique set of qualities that give some creatives the edge – qualities possessed by the most successful creative directors in the world – and Amy is a powerhouse.”

As Creative Director, Amy takes pride in hearing an idea from a client and interpreting it through thoughtful and innovative design. Amy has been with the agency for three years as Graphic Designer, then Senior Graphic Designer. With her new role, Amy will be overseeing the design team and adding website design & development to her wheelhouse. Additionally, the Creative Director will direct client photo shoots and cultivate relationships with vendors.

“To me, the exciting thing about advertising is that it’s fast-paced and always changing. In advertising, agencies don’t follow the trends, we create them, so we’re always one step ahead,” says Amy Alexander.

Attending the University of Richmond in Virginia, Amy was the Vice President of Communications for her sorority, Delta Gamma, from January 2016 to January 2017. In her role, she ran chapter meetings, managed bylaws, and managed all internal communications as well as managed social media, apparel and public relations. Amy also produced, filmed and edited the 2015 and 2017 recruitment videos for the college sorority. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Richmond in Virginia with an Honors B.A. in Leadership Studies and Psychology, however found her true passion for the visual arts and graphic design upon joining the Evolve & Co team. Today, Amy has been responsible for the design of over 500 ad units, branding companies from the ground up, and the creative genius behind some recognizable campaigns.
